Though the trek starts from Jiri, nowadays it is easier to start from Lukla and end in Lukla.
After trekking through the panoramic villages and being familiar with the Sherpa. The way of life and passing the Dudh Koshi River and the trek also provides with some resting periods to get used to the climate. The Everest Base Camp Trekking is a kind of preparation before actually ascending the Mt. Everest as it involves going through extreme weather conditions and similar challenges.
