Lake View Lanka is a quiet (no roads or traffic), small and friendly Sri Lankan homestay at the Chandrika Lake near Centauria Hotel and the city of Embilipitiya.
We've always loved hosting tourists and friends and the cultural exchange it brings.
So we decided to start a new guesthouse to share these moments with you.
It's your chance to have a cultural experience and get to know real Sri Lankan family life.
We hope you will enjoy your stay at our beautiful place.
There are two double rooms available in our guesthouse. Each is spacious and includes a double bed, fan and mosquito net. You have the opportunity to relax while watching exotic birds and enjoy your drinks and meals on the terrace overlooking the beautiful garden and lake.
Sri Lankan and Western breakfast and meals available upon request.
Room rates include: drinking water, tea, coffee and hot shower.
Laundry service is available.
Nimal is an experienced teacher of traditional Sri Lankan dance and Kumudu a brilliant host and cook. Both offer private courses for their guests.
Sri Lankan cooking course: Kumudu is an excellent cook and you have the chance to learn how to cook delicious Sri Lankan food such as string hoppers, rice and curry and devilled dishes.
Traditional Sri Lankan dance course: Nimal is an experienced teacher who can teach you Kandyan dance as well as other dance styles such as traditional harvesting dance in his dance hall.
Kandyan dance performances are available on request: (price depends on number of dancers).

From Airport:
We can arrange an airport pickup in a comfortable AC-van.
There are also direct public intercity-buses (AC) from Colombo to Embilipitiya. The distance is 180 km (via Ratnapura).
From Bus Station: call for free pick-up or hire a Tuk Tuk.
There is no Train Station.
