Your exploration of the island paradise of Sri Lanka begins and ends from the Colombo airport. Set in the Indian Ocean, this tear-shaped island is celebrated as one of the world's greatest biodiversity hotspots and our 11-night, 12-day tour includes a wildlife safari in Minneriya National Park to see one of the largest remaining wild herds of Asian Elephant. Our journey also takes us to the mountainous region to learn how Ceylon tea is grown and harvested. We explore Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle and several UNESCO World Heritage Sites celebrating ancient art and architecture and Buddhist cultural relics before enjoying a day of R&R along the coast.
After a satisfying breakfast at the hotel, set off for a full-day of discovery lead by an expert, English-speaking guide who will openly share with you the culture, history and warm hospitality of Sri Lanka. Visit cultural and historic sites, stunning landscapes and sample Sri Lanka's tantalizing cuisine!
Everyone is welcome to join the tour. Please be advised some tours include walking in ancient sites where surfaces can be uneven. Every effort will be made to accommodate however for those with mobility issues we can offer a privately operated tour to allow you to make the most of your holiday, at your own pace. Dietary restrictions can be accommodate, please advise us of your preferences in advance.
Breakfast is included daily at the hotel along with a welcome dinner on your first night. Accommodations are first-class and your comfort is our foremost concern.
International visitors from North America must carry a valid passport to travel to Sri Lanka. US citizens are required to obtain a visa in advance through the ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) system.
