The "Cottage Hill" area containing 40 cabins, was the resort's first addition back in the 1930's. Cabins are named alphabetically, after streets in Minneapolis and St. Paul. BestView Cabin, called "Girard," is separate private property from the resort.Located in a wooded setting, overlooking Pelican Lake, BestView Cabin is a set up with modern furnishings, yet still maintains its rustic charm and appearance. Perfect for budget-minded small families, groups or couples that want more room and to plan their own meals. "Girard" was remodeled in 1996 with new furniture, carpeting and linoleum. Unit is fully furnished with dishes, pots & pans and linens. From Brainerd, take Highway 371 north to Pequot Lakes, go east on County Road 11 approximately 5 miles to the resort gates. Once inside the resort, continue on past the golf course, marina and Breezy Point Lodge & Suites. Go past the registration office and conference center, under the skywalk. Turn right at the Fawcett House (large log cabin) going uphill to Fawcett's Cottage Hill and proceed to #30190 Girard cabin on left side of the road. Parking available along either side of the cabin.
