The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCA) encompasses over 1.5 million acres of boreal forest and lakes along the US/Canada border. Thousands of crystal clear lakes connected by portages make this the ideal landscape for wilderness canoe trips and is recognized as the finest "paddle only" wilderness in the world. The BWCA offers fishing, bird watching and wildlife experiences without parallel: Trophy smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye and pan fish lurk beneath the pristine waters. Moose, wolves, deer and otter are prevalent, and eagles, osprey, herons and loons are common sights in the lake country. You could spend a lifetime exploring this area and still not experience all it has to offer.
Situated in a quiet bay on Farm Lake, just outside the BWCA, our six newly remodeled 2 & 3 bedroom lakefront cabins are situated only 25 feet from the lake. Our lodge offers wood bundles, ice, bait and a selection of fishing tackle. We are located 7 miles southeast of Ely on the White Iron Chain of Lakes. White Iron Lake, Farm Lake, Garden Lake and South Farm Lake account for more than 11,000 acres of water and best of all, they can all be accessed from your dock. Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and Crappies are abundant and readily caught throughout the season. In addition to the four lakes, you also have direct access into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, where you can paddle a canoe for miles into the wilderness. Loons, eagles, otters and other wildlife make for great photo opportunities along with breathtaking scenery
