Cabin MacDonald -The MacDonald is the newest of our cabins. It is also the most secluded. Overlooking the woods, it offers the privacy and seclusion that has become our trademark. As with all of our cabins, it is fully heated and air conditioned for your personal comfort.Easily accommodating 4 guests utilizing the queen-sized bed and queen-sized sofa bed, it is elegant and intimate at the same time. Mounted above the sofa are the actual trews (trousers) worn in the film "Brigadoon". (A copy of the film is in the cabin.) These compliment the host of real antiques and artifacts that decorate the walls of all of our cabins. We strive to provide an atmosphere that is as warm and personal as your own home.On the covered porch, you can soak in the Jacuzzi hot tub while sipping your coffee or wine. You could barbeque a burger or steak. Or you can retreat to the living room and watch satellite TV, your favorite DVD or tape chosen from our extensive library. Utilize the gourmet kitchen to prepare whatever your talents or desires dictate.The bedroom has a patio door that opens to the porch allowing direct access to the Jacuzzi. The gas fireplace, that opens to both the living room and bedroom, provides a romantic aura to the sleeping quarters. The TV is on a swiveling base that allows viewing from either the bedroom or the living room.
Cabin MacGregor -The MacGregor is our two bedroom cabin (queen-sized). It is situated so it is overlooking the woods and our creek-fed ponds. As with all of our cabins, it is fully heated and air conditioned for your personal comfort.This log cabin boasts wide-plank, wood floors, wood walls and ceilings. The wood-burning fireplace keeps things cozy and warm on those cool autumn evenings. We provide the firewood and starter. All you have to do is light the fire, we have the first one ready for you when you check in. And there's a queen-sized sofa-bed in the living room providing a third sleeping area if needed.The inviting hot tub on the lower deck, accommodates up to five people, with a nice view of the stream and meadow below, as well as the mountains in the distance. With a little luck, you may see our resident herd of deer take a drink at our pond. Or you can retreat to the living room and watch satellite TV, your favorite DVD or tape chosen from our extensive library. And remember our extensive collection of books that is also at your disposal.
Cabin MacLeod -The MacLeod is our other one bedroom cabin. A model of this cabin was written up in Log Homes Magazine. It has two feet added to our living room, a stone fireplace, larger porch and a deck to accommodate a private hot tub, built-in hair dryer, gas grill and rockers. The spacious eating area of the kitchen is surrounded on three sides by windows to take advantage of the views, sunrises, deer at the pond below, the moon coming up over the mountain, etc. There is also an overhead fan mounted in the exposed beam, and antiques hanging from the wood ceiling.Added amenities include soap, shampoo and conditioner dispenser, hand-made furniture and other things Scottish. It differs primarily from the MacDonald in that it has a loft bedroom, a natural fireplace and the hot tub in on the open part of the deck.
