Bears on the Rogue (#3/10) The Rogue has plentiful wildlife making it an extraordinary place to view these creatures in their natural habitat. Bears, otters, deer, herons, eagles and osprey are often spotted from the rafts.
Stair Creek on the Rogue River (#4/10) Many scenic tributaries feed the Rogue. This creek creates a lovely waterfall.
Family Trips (#5/10) Each year, ECHO offers a few trips on both rivers that are discounted for families. This encourages lots of other kids on the trip, which provides playmates for your kids. Our guides are great at entertaining them with games and hikes!
Paddle Boat on the Rogue River (#6/10) ECHO trips provide 3 boat choices and most guests try all three during their trip. Paddle boats require teamwork with a guide giving commands, oar boats are rowed by the guide with guests as passengers and inflatable kayaks are navigated by guests with guide supervision.
Fly-Fishing on the Middle Fork of the Salmon (#7/10) The fly-fishing is exceptional on the Middle Fork and it is not uncommon to catch dozens of trout during a 6-day trip. Rainbow and cutthroat trout have healthy populations due to the implementation of catch and release guidelines.
Teens in Inflatable Kayaks on the Rogue (#8/10) Teens really enjoy the inflatable kayaks (or duckies). They are supervised by the guides, but allow for more wet and wild fun. Parents and kids often enjoy navigating them together for a unique experience.
Oar Boat on the Rogue River (#9/10) Oar boats allow guests a peaceful and serene journey down the river. You can watch for wildlife and enjoy the calming effects of the scenery.
Family on the Middle Fork of the Salmon (#10/10) Parents relish the opportunity to spend 6 days with their kids free of TV, iPods and cell phones. Relationships have been saved, families are reconnected and teamwork is reinforced.
