Day 1 :
Arrival Kilimanjaro Airport-Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, your Maranje Adventures guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. The rest of the day is yours to relax and enjoy the African atmosphere. Tomorrow morning, your safari adventure begins.
Day 2 :
Serengeti National Park
Today, you'll journey to the iconic Serengeti National Park, renowned for the Great Migration. The drive is truly breathtaking as you ascend the crater highlands, pausing at the rim to take in a stunning birds-eye view of the Ngorongoro Crater. As you continue and crest the hillside, the vast Serengeti stretches out before you, an endless expanse as far as the eye can see.
The name "Serengeti" comes from the Kiswahili word meaning "endless plains." Covering 6,900 square miles (18,000 square kilometers), this incredible park is home to over 2 million large animals. Among them are more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson's gazelles. The abundance of prey attracts predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, making the Serengeti a haven for wildlife enthusiasts.
In addition to the larger mammals, the park teems with smaller creatures such as rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares. Serengeti / Ngorongoro Highland
Today begins with an early morning safari, heading out before breakfast to catch the animals at their most active and witness a breathtaking sunrise over the African savannah—a truly unforgettable experience. After your game drive, you'll return to camp for a hearty brunch.
In the afternoon, you'll head to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the Natural World. With its towering 2,000-foot walls and a sprawling 102-square-mile crater floor, this unique ecosystem is like a modern-day Noah's Ark, home to nearly every species native to East Africa, including the rare and endangered black rhino.
The crater boasts the planet's highest concentration of wildlife. Its diverse landscape includes a river, several swamps, a soda lake shimmering with flamingos, dense forests, and open grasslands. Among its many wonders are the majestic bull elephants with their enormous tusks, a result of the rich minerals in the volcanic soil and vegetation. These are some of the most extraordinary elephants you will ever encounter.
Day 4 :
Ngorongoro Crater – Departure
In the early morning, you'll descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable day of wildlife viewing in one of the most extraordinary natural wonders on Earth. Midday, enjoy a picnic lunch by the serene Hippo Lake before continuing your exploration of the crater's diverse ecosystem in the afternoon.
As the day winds down, you'll ascend the steep road out of the crater and head back to Arusha or proceed to the airport for your departure, concluding your remarkable adventure.
