Trek Alaska provides guided backpacking trips in various parts of Alaska including Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, Lake Clark National Park, Gates of the Arctic N.P. and others.

Our trips are multi-day trips including base camp and backpacking treks. There is a wide range of trips from easier to moderate to challenging to very challenging. So there is something for everyone.

Most trips are fly-in adventures as there are no roads or trails in the Alaska backcountry.

A typical day on a trip varies. On backpacking treks we are breaking camp and hiking most days as the backpacking trips are based on point-to-point routes.

Many of our trips are ad-hoc group trips that anyone can join. Ages run the gamut. For group trips the minimum age would be around 16. But we also do private trips for groups of friends or family. We have done many family trips with kids of all ages down to around 6.

Sleeping and mealskeyboard_double_arrow_up

These are off-trail wilderness trips so you're sleeping in a tent every night. Meals are provided and prepared by the guide. However participants are fully involved in all aspects of the trip and everyone carries a full load. You carry all of your own gear, tents, part of the food and group gear.
