Altea Hostel

The Hostel: A lovely art-deco building with a marble entrance, lift, tiled corridors and communal kitchen/terrace. Located in the centre of Nice.

The Reception: Open from 8:00am to 11:00pm. If you plan to arrive after 11:00pm you must send us a text message (SMS)in advance so we can give you the door code and leave a room card for you to collect . Check-in is from 12:00 (midday). If you are arrive before we can put your luggage in a storage room and give you the main door code so you can access the building. There is no curfew. The friendly staff will help you with any enquiries.

Accommodation: We have 5 private double rooms, most have an ensuite shower. Our mixed dorms have either 4 or 6 beds and most have an ensuite shower. There is one all-female 4-bed dorm which has access to the terrace. Most dorms have a fridge and microwave. All rooms/dorms have air conditioning and are cleaned daily.

Wi-Fi: There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hostel.

Location: Central Nice. We are less than a 10 minute walk from the main train station. The Old Town and beach are a 15 minute walk away, 5 minutes by tram. The Chagal Museum, The Matisse Museum and MAMAC (Museum of Modern Art) are all close, as is the Parc des Arenes de Cimiez (a public park with a Roman garden – often overlooked by tourists). Excellent shops, cafés and bars are all within easy reach.

Cancellation policy: if you wish to cancel a reservation you must notify us by email 48 hours before the date of arrival. Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of the reservation. If you want to change the dates of the booking and this involves a cancellation (e.g cancel the first night of your stay and book an extra night) this must be done 48 hours in advance. If you are staying in the hostel and wish to cancel a night of your stay this must also be done 48 hours in advance. Payments made to Hostelworld are non-refundable.

Directions

From the train station :
Once you get out of the train station turn left and go down 'avenue thiers', cross 'avenue jean medecin' at the tram's station and keep going straight ahead on 'boulevard raimbaldi'.
The hostel is located at the end of the right side of the boulevard on an angle.

From the airport :

Arriving from the airport: take the bus N� 23 or 99 to the train station and follow the same indication from the train station to Altea Hostel
