Originally built in the 1600's, Berkeley House took its present form in 1774. It has belonged to a number of merchants' families over the years and is a grade 1 listed building.

Now a luxurious B&B, Berkeley House offers 10 guest rooms in a superb location within walking distance of all the treasures of medieval Kilkenny city. All rooms feature WiFi, TV, hairdryers and tea/coffee-making facilities, and a full Irish breakfast is included in the rates.

Car Parking is at the Ormonde Muilty car park. We cover your parking from 6pm to 12 noon the following day. Outside of these hours a fee of €1.50 per hour applies, however guests staying a 2 nights a discounted car park pass for €10.00 can be purchased at the car park. This covers your entire stay and gives you the fexibility to come and go from the car park as you please

Directions


Train station is a 10 minute walk along John St. There is a bus stop located 2 doors up the street.

From Dublin take the M9 and get off at exit 8.
Continue through 3 roundabout. Pass Mc Donagh Junction shopping mall on left.

Take 1st exit at roundabout and stay in right lane at traffic lights. Straight through lights and continue down John St over the bridge and take left at traffic lights in the centre of Kilkenny.

You will see Kilkenny Castle on your left. After you turn left at the lights there are 3 building on your right. There is an archway after the 3rd one ( Red brick building), drive under arch and Berkeley House car park is on the right.
