The Porto Wine Hostel is a themed hostel, where the famous and unique Port Wine is an inspiration, whether it is the wine category that marks the difference between floors (Ruby, Tawny and Pink & White) or the decoration of the rooms based on Production, Aging, Storage, colour and sweetness, where you can find the Port Wine history all around and exposed in the Hostel, with exquisite pictures and images of the first wine region to be delimited in the world: �The Douro Valley�, in 1756.
The Hostel is located in a centenary building in Porto historical centre with views facing the Cordoaria Square, near the centennial coffee Piolho Caf�, the Cl�rigos Tower, and Porto University Rectory. The hostel is inserted in today�s most active nightlife centre, with coffees, restaurants, esplanades, bars, discos, street markets, art galleries�

Recently renovated and decorated, this 4 floors building, with private bathrooms in 90% of the rooms, has a living room with balconies towards the garden and Cordoaria square, where you can watch the traditional serenades of students in front of the Hostel in the bandstand.
The Wine Hostel has capacity for 45 guests, having a total of 10 rooms, 8 of them with private bathrooms.
Room Types: 2 doubles, 1 triple, 3 mixed with 4 beds, 3 mixed with 6 beds and 1 mixed of 8 beds.
The Hostel:
1st Floor: Social Area (Reception/ Living Room/ Kitchen)
2nd floor: Ruby Category: Vintage, LBV, SQV and Reserve
3rd Floor: Tawny Category: Harvest, 10 years, 20 years and 30/40years
4th Floor: Pink & White Category: Pink and White
The warm and dry colours of the different kinds of wine can be discovered as you walk around the hostel, from the White wines yellow and dry green colours to the fruity young oranges, from the Tawny�s, followed by the Ruby reds, never forgetting the newest one: the Pink.
Almost all the themed rooms have private bathrooms.
All rooms have general and individual lightning, internet access (wireless LAN) and are all very comfortable.
The Private rooms have imperial manor beds.
Every bed has linen and bed clothing.
Towels can be rented.
Free access to the kitchen.

We have daily animation projects in our hostel, with presentations and tastings of the various Port wines, guided indoor tours about Porto and North of Portugal with interpreter guides and many more surprises.
At the Reception:
A free map with information about the principal monuments and attractions will be given to guests
Touristic Bus Circuits, Panoramic Circuits, Helicopter Tours, City Train, Douro Cruises and Touristic Circuits can be acquired there
Possibility of Car, Bike and Moto rent and surf equipment.

Please note that the 1st night of your staying will be charged in case of No-Show.
If you cancel the booking on the arrival day we will charge the 1st night.

The cancellation Policy is:
The payment of the total will be charged 1 week prior to arrival. If cancelled, reduction in numbers of beds or no show after 1 week prior to arrival there will be No Refund.
Directions
Situated in the centre of the city, it's easy to reach.
Just across the street there's Bus stops (stop S. Bento), Metro (stop: S. Bento) and S. Bento's Train Station.
Bus from the airport: 601 or 602, get out at the very last bus stop, you just have to come down the street until you get to the train station. The building is in front of it.
Metro from the airport: you have to change in Trindade metro station to the metro with direction to D. Joao II and get out at S. Bento.
Note: there are buses that also stop right in front of the train station, but you would have to change bus. Anyway, the buses that stop here are: 500, 207, 901, 900, 201, and 906.
