Walking Tour Itinerary – Rota Vicentina
Day 1 – Arrival in Porto Covo & Welcome Briefing
After check-in, a member of the Vicentina Travel team will welcome you and provide a full briefing about the route, logistics, and safety. All trails are well marked and form part of the Rota Vicentina's Historical Way and Fishermen's Trail.

Day 2 – Porto Covo to Vila Nova de Milfontes (20 km)
A moderate walk with little shade, crossing coastal paths and sandy stretches. This largely untouched landscape offers breathtaking ocean views and the chance to observe traditional fishermen at work. For less experienced walkers, shorter alternatives of 14 km or 8 km can be arranged.

Day 3 – Vila Nova de Milfontes to Almograve (15 or 18 km)
An easy coastal walk through pine forests, dunes, and along dramatic cliff tops. You will pass secluded beaches before reaching the charming fishing village of Almograve.

Day 4 – Almograve to Zambujeira do Mar (22 km)
Walking south along beaches and clifftop paths, with an optional detour to the small fishing harbor of Entrada da Barca. Enjoy panoramic ocean views, dunes, and the chance to spot cliff-nesting storks. The route passes through Cavaleiro and the lighthouse at Cabo Sardão before arriving in Zambujeira do Mar.

Day 5 – Zambujeira do Mar to Odeceixe (18 km)
A stunning coastal trail past Carvalhal Beach, the former home of fado legend Amália Rodrigues, and the picturesque village of Azenha do Mar — an ideal stop for fresh seafood. The walk continues to the river of Odeceixe, marking your arrival in the first village of the Algarve.

Day 6 – End of Tour
