Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Briefing at Porto COVO
After the Check-in a Vicentina Travel member will provide the briefing to clarify everything related to the tour, after that everything will sound much clearer. All the trails are fully marked, being part of Rota Vicentina's Historical Way and Fishermen's Trail.

Day 2: PORTO COVO - VILA NOVA DE MILFONTES - 20KM
This is a Moderate walk (lack of shade), crossing several areas with loose sand, you will notice this is an unexplored area, where you can take advantage of some astonishing views, and where the real fishermen take their chances at their risky daily job. If you are not an experienced walker it´s better to ask a Vicentina Travel member to sort it down, there are 2 options available with 14km and 8km.

Day 3: MILFONTES – AMOGRAVE – 15 or 18KM
Easy walking along the coast with path winds through pinewoods, dunes, and along cliff tops. You will find some desert beaches and after that, you have a tiny fishing village called Almograve.

Day 4: ALMOGRAVE – ZAMBUJEIRA – 22KM
Heading south from the small village of Almograve along the beach, you can do a short detour to the tiny fishing harbor called "Entrada da Barca". Walking near the cliffs with panoramic views by the dunes. Along this route cliff-nesting storks can be seen. Through Cavaleiro and past the beautiful lighthouse of Cabo Sardão the day ends in Zambujeira.

Day 5: ZAMBUJEIRA DO MAR – ODECEIXE – 18KM
A coastal path near the beaches leads us onto Carvalhal Bay, past the former residence of the famous "fado" singer Amália Rodrigues passing "Azenha do Mar" where you can try an amazing seafood meal (the arbor is just 300 meters distance from the restaurant). After this, we will have the energy needed to get to Odeceixe´s river and reach the first village in the Algarve.
