The location is excellent, in the heart of Copacabana, 7 minutes from the beach, just in front of metro Station Siqueira Campos, near banks, supermarkets, restaurants and all kinds of shops. Very good transportation, well connected to other neighbourhoods. There are beautiful antique shops, art galleries and a Theater just in front.
However, please note that because the apartment is located on a main street. It is not recomended for those who are looking for a peaceful place to stay.
This is not a room that I am renting, it is a full one bedroom apartment. But, although it is a separate apartment and you will have total privacy, in a way, to me this is like an extension of my home. This is because I live just in front and also because it was designed to be my daughter´s home in Rio, so I renovated the apartment myself and brought in the furniture, pictures and objects that used to be in her old bedroom,
It was an former art studio and was renovated to be transformed in the holiday home of a young ballerina who is living in London. Here and there you will find traces of her ballet passion. And you will also find painted canvases and drawing material for making sketches - an invitation for you to let your creativity flow!
I am the ballerina´s mother, Sonia Gil, an architect and visual artist, lives just in front and takes care of everything personally. I have renovated the apartment myself and painted the walls, giving them a"shabby chic look". Everything was planed to make the small apartment unique, cosy and special for travellers who need a home away from home...while they are in Rio.
