Imagine your ski plane touching down in four feet of powdery snow as you land at Iniakuk Lake Wilderness Lodge 200 miles north of Fairbanks. It's "springtime" in the Brooks Range which means 14 hours of daylight and daytime temperatures around +20F (-7C). Your guide will take you up to the main lodge for lunch and get you settled in.This is the ultimate in Alaskan experiences combining comfort and adventure 60 miles north of the Arctic Circle, six miles outside the Gates of the Arctic National Park and 180 degrees from anything you have every done before.

Iniakuk Lake Wilderness Lodge is fly-in only. We make all arrangements from Fairbanks to Iniakuk Lodge and return. Discounts available for groups of 4.
The main lodge has three rooms; each with a double and single bed; each with a breathtaking view of 5-mile long Iniakuk Lake which is covered with four feet of ice and about that much snow. All Alaska-style gourmet meals are included.
Depending on your itinerary, you will spend the next 3-5 days dog sledding, snow shoeing, ice fishing or learning how to build an igloo. Or, you may choose to sit by the wood fire and enjoy the incredible peace and quiet of the Brooks Range. Each trip is customized to meet your needs and ability. We have been serving guests from around the world since 1974, and know what it takes to provide excellent service. Remote facilities are not suitable for children under the age of seven, but we have had mushers as young as 9.
