Situated in a beautiful heritage building, right in the heart of Barcelona, the Alternative Creative Youth Home Hostel is the perfect base from which to enjoy the city and make the most of its incredible opportunities. The hostel was created to offer safe accommodation especially to open-minded, adventurous travelers who come to Barcelona to experience the citys historic and artistic attractions. The Alternative Creative Youth Home is a friendly and cozy places where you can easily make friends with people from all over the world.
Our helpful and knowledgeable staff have lots of recommendations for you. We will tell you great place for live music and for real Spanish food. Some nights we will even take you out to the hidden hot spots of Barcelona ;-)
Please note that we are a FUN but not a PARTY hostel. It is our pleasure to provide accommodation to people who come to Barcelona for a culture and leisure visit and not to those who want to get wasted every night. We respect you and in exchange expect respect from you - towards your roommates, the staff and yourself!!! We do not want alcoholics to spoil the atmosphere.

Important note on directions:
There is no hostel sign on the street. Look up high for house number 17. When you found it, ring the middle bell on the bottom row, it's golden!!!
Age restriction: Please note we do not accept guests younger than 16 and older than 40. We reserve the right to refuse admission.
Cancellation policy:
The cancellation free of charge must be done at least 48 hours before the 'Date' of arrival.
If you do not show up for your reservation and do not contact us, we will charge the first two nights of accommodation cost to the credit card.
In case of cancellation on the same day of arrival on weekends or special events, we will charge the first two nights of your booking.
We reserve the right to refuse admission.
We have age restriction, meaning we do not accept guest older than 40 years old.
IMPORTANT: If you not arrival time at the indicated time, and do not inform us about later arrival; your booking will be cancelled at 24:00 hours.
For the safety of other travelers we can not accept any traveler with bed bugs bites. Please consider this before proceeding your booking.
Please note: There is a 2% credit card surcharge.
We normally have beds available for walk-ins.

We offer a transfer service from the airports of Barcelona, Reus and Girona.
The price from Barcelona's Airport is 35€ one way or 65€ both ways.
From Barcelona Airport
AEROBÚS
• This bus will take you to the city center. It leaves every 11-12 minutes on work days and every 15 minutes on Saturdays and holidays. You can take it from any of the terminals. The price is 4,25€ one way or 7,30€ both ways. The ride will last about half an hour.
• The best option is to get off in Plaça Catalunya (last stop) and take the underground, Line 3 , direction Canyelles, and get off in PENITENTS
Once in Penitents, you can take the 'Bus del Barri' number 124. The stop is only 5 meters accross the road from the underground exit. You can use the same ticket you used for the underground. You don't have to pay again if you have bought a multiple trip card (we recommend the T-10, which costs 7,70€ and includes 10 trips) but you will need to validate it again.
• Get off after 13 stops (takes about 10 minutes) at 'August Font-Josep Maria Jujol' (ask the driver) and the B&B is only 20 meters up the road.
By taxi
• The ride from the airport to the B&B takes about 15-20 minutes if there is no traffic. Be aware that at the end of the trip the taxi driver will add some euros to the fare. That's because you will be charged the special airport fee (3,10€) and also per suitcase (1,00€).
