The Gingerbread house is located in "The Village" and is just a few minutes walk from most clubs and from the downtown core, where you will find some of the greatest shopping in Montreal's famous underground city, and from a metro (subway) station that can take you wherever you want to go.
For your gambling fun, The Montreal's Casino is just a subway stop away, on the same island as La Ronde, Montreal's famous attraction park, and the Montreal Grand Prix.
Also, a few minutes away by car or subway, you will be able to go an visit the Olympic stadium, where the Montreal's expos are playing, the Biodome and the world famous botanical gardens and its insectarium.
Old Montreal is only 10 minutes walking distance, where you will see Notre-Dame cathedral. Also a short walk away, you can get to the Just for Laughs festival and the Jazz Festival.

Accommodations
The gingerbread house has been built before the end of last century and has been totally renovated for your comfort while endeavouring to maintain the turn of the century charm. It is catalogued by the city in its inventory of architecturally interesting house in Montréal. The name of our B&B comes from all the gingerbread ornementing the exterior and interior of the house.
Rooms/Suites
Two tastefully decorated rooms are availables for our guests, in a smoke-free environment, and are comfortably furnished with a double bed. The bathroom is shared and includes a shower, towels, soap and shampoo, and if you ever need something else, we will gladly do our best to provide it.
Policies & Restrictions
The Gingerbread house is a non-smoking house. Unfortunately cannot accommodate young children (10 y/o or less), and we cannot accept any pets.
Other Information
It is always preferable to confirm your reservation with a credit card number. No charge will appear on your card, unless you do not honour your reservation, and do not give us at least 72 hours notice. The first night will be charged to your card if less than 72 hours notice is given for a cancellation.
Map & Directions
To get to the B&B from the Dorval Airport, you can take highway 20 East (Follow the sign that say "Montreal Centre-ville". At one point the road will fork 3 ways, keep in the middle lane, always going toward "Centre-ville" or "Downtown". It should says "Autoroute Ville-Marie". Stay on the Ville-marie expressway. You will get into the Ville-marie Tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, you will see an exit that says "Berri / St-Laurent". You must take this exit. Keep to the right lane of the exit toward Berri street (but do not turn on Berri). Keep on going for 3 or 4
traffic lights, to Amherst street. Turn left on Amherst, keep on going for another 4 traffic lights to De Maisonneuve street. Turn left on De Maisonneuve, and then St-Christophe will be the 3rd street to your right.
When taking the airport shuttle or arriving by bus, you will arrive at the "Station Centrale" bus terminal. When exiting the station, you will be on De Maisonneuve street. Go to you left, St-Christophe is only 2 blocks away.
When arriving by train, you can take the subway (metro) to Berri-UQAM station. Go to the "Place Dupuis" exit. St-Christophe will be the street that is right in front of you!
