Trip advisor award of excellence 5 years in a row!!! Dog sledding is an adventure that matches man's best friend and man in a sport of un-paralled adventure. Swooshing through the forests powered by hound. This sport is the for semi agile and co-ordinated. Skill level is average to advanced.
Typical Day
A start up introduction to the site and to the dog kennels where they stay. A theoretical brieffing on the basic technics of manipilating a dog sled followed by a little practicing with the sleds without any dogs to get the feeling of the technic as well as to practice various braking methods. Then off you go in single file following the guide, usually about 4-5 teams. The first few minutes tend to be a little intimidating buy after that it's all fun.
Age range, type of group
12 and over are concidered adults and can drive their own team. 12 and under usually ride with the guide in his sled.
Sleeping and meals
Auberge Beaux Reves and Spa offers the ultimate relaxing experience. We offer suite rooms that have fireplaces, baconies and jacuzzis as well as superior rooms all facing the river.
Other Information
We offer a full Nordic Spa including: a large hot thermal pond, Jacuzzi spa with waterfall, old stone sauna, barrel sauna, steam room, cold waterfall, relaxation room and infra read heated zone.
All is located in a wonderful southern facing, river front setting. A nature path leads to the majestic river where you will find many natural whirlpools to bath in.
Many hammocks and niche little corers to relax and listen to the sound of the river.
