Eugene is centrally located to a host of scenic sites and activities for all levels of interest and energy. The Hult Center for Performing Arts and other theaters have continual entertainment. The University of Oregon Art Museum is an easy walk away. Popular events include the Oregon Festival of American Music and the Bach Festival. Several wineries are within an hour's drive. Add golfing, river rafting, winter skiing, biking, hiking, beautiful gardens, and a short drive to the coast, and you'll find more than enough to do!
Accommodations
The Secret Garden is a magnificent three-story inn built circa 1918. The inn is located in an older, quiet neighborhood just two blocks from the University of Oregon and minutes from downtown Eugene. Within the Belgian fence on the perimeter you will find beautiful gardens surrounding the inn. Hand-laid stone encircles the garden. Sit and relax or read on the back terrace and listen to the fountain as it trickles. Inside, the Great Room is waiting with comfortable chairs and couches for reading, get togethers, or all-important dozing! You'll find a fire in the evening, and a baby grand piano as well. (If you play, please do!) Help yourself to tea or coffee anytime in Daphne, our second-story sitting room. Explore the library or enjoy a snack in front of the fireplace in the dining room.
Rooms/Suites
All our rooms have private baths with combination tubs and showers, TV/VCRs, small refrigerators, telephones, computer ports, and music by choice. We invite you to select from among the ten "garden" theme rooms offered, each imaginatively designed and decorated by the innkeeper to make your stay a fanciful one. Of the ten rooms, two are two-room suites. Another room is ADA certified and is completely wheelchair accessible. All rooms have either king or queen size beds except for one which has two extra long twin beds. Some rooms have fireplaces or stoves; some have European soaking tubs. Sculpture, art, photos, inscribed poems, and antiques are tucked away everywhere.

We're within minutes of several wonderful restaurants, an ice cream shop, a cafe, grocery stores, parks, golf courses, and the University of Oregon campus. Visit our local Downtown Athletic Club and be accepted as a guest because you're our guest ($7.00 fee.) Not far from the Hult Center or local convention centers. Computer ports available in each room.
Services Offered
Special dietary needs are accommodated with creativity. An outdoor hot tub is available for guests to use, and our library is full of good books, games, and videos. Early continental breakfast is available if you have to depart in the wee hours of the morning.
Policies & Restrictions
No pets allowed. Smoking confined to the terrace and garden. Children of well-behaved parents allowed.
Call for reservations at (888)484-6755 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time) daily. Credit card information is requested to hold your reservation.
Other Information
Cancellation policy: We require at least 72 hours advance notice for non-event stays and 3 weeks advance notice for event weekends if you must cancel your reservation. If not enough notice is given, you will be charged the full room rate unless we can re-rent your room.

Map & Directions
Located on the southwest corner of 19th and University Streets. Directions and maps are provided in each confirmation packet when you make reservations. Parking is available in our parking lot off the alley behind the house.
