Schooner Roseway..windjammer sailing adventures on a 137 foot National Historic Landmark vessel. Feel the power of the wind as the ship cuts silently through the waves. 3-7 day cruises along the New England coast
The Roseway is a 137 foot Grand Banks schooner built in Essex, MA in 1925. She has served as a private yacht, pilot vessel, and now passenger windjammer.
We sail the beautiful coast of New England and Maine during the summer, stopping at small coastal villages and deserted islands much like to old coastal packets. The ship uses wind power most of the time, but our powerful diesel auxiliary engines provide plenty of reserve for those days when the wind doesn't cooperate.
