Welcome to the Hot Springs (South Dakota) KOA Campground! We are located at the gateway to the beautiful Black Hills. We are your base camp headquarters for a perfect Black Hills visit. Camp under shady ponderosa pines in a mountain setting. Our campground is located on SD Highway 79, approximately 50 miles south of Rapid City, SD and 50 miles north of Chadron, NE.

Stay with us while you explore Wind Cave National Park, Custer State Park, the Mammoth Site, Windcross Conservancy, Wild Horse Sanctuary, Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument. Plus taken in all the other attractions around the Black Hills.

Our campground features every amenity that you could need while camping! Clean bathrooms, 24-hour laundry, camp store/giftshop and our large heated swimming pool during the summer. Check out our campground facilities, amenities and services for more information!

The Hot Springs KOA is tucked away in the southern Black Hills where you will be able to relax with a quiet night's sleep.

From Wyoming - US 18 Truck Bypass to US 385, turn right go 5 miles E then 1/2 mile N on Hwy 79.

From Nebraska - US 385 go 1/2 mile N of Junction Hwy 79.

From I-90 - US 16 (Elk Vale Road) to Hwy 79 for 48 miles.

From US 385 - stay on through town go 5 miles E past Taco Johns to Hwy 79, then 1/2 mile N on Hwy 79.
