Vis Island is the furthest island away the Dalmatian coast, jusy 60 mileds from Italy! Even during the summer Vis is still an idyllic off-the-beaten-path island, unlike Hvar, Brač or Korčula. The main reason for this is that Vis cannot be experienced in a single day using the ferry and has only a very small number of hotel beds. So instead of being over-run with day trippers, it's mainly visited by people who come here every year; by mainland Croatians who have family houses here or by visitors who have taken the time to be inspired by the story of Vis and spend several days or weeks here.
10.15 AMi - Meeting with your guide in Split at the ferry harbour. The daily ferry to Vis departs at 11 AM from Split and arrives in Vis around 1PM (13:00). We than take our sea kayaks and equipment out of the ferry we'll get ready for our first paddle to a small protected bay at Stoncica. There's a wonderful small restaurant here, where i - if you like, you can enjoy your first Vis island fish! From Stoncica we continue to Budikovac lagoon, one of most beautiful spots on our route i - and a preferred spot for sailors and cruisers on nautical charts. Enjoy a swim in the turquoise waters of this protected lagoon. Before the sun sets, we will paddle to Bay of Rukavac, where we will spend the night in local homes. Accommodation will be double rooms. We will also arrange dinner in a local restaurant.
