Little House is a cute old traditional Turkish house sympathetically restored and now offering a variety of guest rooms on the 4 upper floors. There isn't a lift but the stairs are very easy rise and assistance is provided with luggage. A variety of rooms ranging from Single, Twin, Triple are available and all have ensuite bathrooms.
Centrally Situated in the best area of lively, vibrant Taksim yet tucked quietly away in a safe side street ensuring a good night's sleep! Just a 1 minute walk to either Taksim Square or Istiklal Street.

An important point to note is that Little House hotel is situated in a level area, because much of Istanbul is built on hills and some are very steep indeed and if you choose accommodation where you have to navigate very steep hills going and coming, it can be extremely exhausting especially in hot weather and for the less mobile people. Little House location lets you save your energy for the more important and extensive site-seeing walking.
The area is a mix of Bohemian and Cosmopolitan with zillions of cafes, bars & restaurants, many with live music every night, in the maze of back alleyways sporting tattoo parlours, souvenir shops, fortune tellers, old book shops, artists, musicians etc along with major fashion outlets with famous designer names- so shop till you drop! Lots of historical sites and places of interest are within walking distance of the sea and the Kabatas-ferryboats to the Prince's Islands, Dolmabahce Palace, Ortakoy and the fantastic street markets at weekends, Galata Tower, Eminonu. Lots of museums, art galleries and culture centres, a Turkish Baths.
The tram is a short walk away direct to Sultan Ahmet, Aya Sophia, Cemberlitas Gold Souk, Burnt Column, Cisterns & Gulhane Park overlooking the Bosphorous - all just just a 5/6 minute ride away..
The area is absolutely cram packed full of places of interest and too many historical sites to mention here. Purchase a good guide book such as Lonely Planet for full information. Time Out (Istanbul) Magazine also covers popular events and things to do.
Buses to all areas of Turkey are located near the hotel..
All rooms are brightly decorated in natural colors with modern bathrooms and laminate wood flooring. Each room has an individually controlled air condition unit and central heating radiators ( so nice & cool in summer and very warm in winter). All rooms have satellite tv with foreign language channels, telephone and fridge.
All rooms and communal areas are thoroughly cleaned every day . Free wifi is also available in all rooms and throughout the hotel. A free buffet style traditional Turkish breakfast is served every day in the entrance lobby between 7-11am with heaps of fresh bread, tea & coffee. Laundry service is also available for guests along with car rental at very competitive rates and currency exchange., car rental can be arranged at competitive rates along with airport transfers from both Ataturk & Sabiha airports at cheap rates.

The airport is circa 25 km away from Little House. There are coaches (HAVATAS) that operate regularly between the airport and Taksim Square (1 minute walk from the hotel). Prices approx 7 euro per person one way and should take around 40 minutes depending on traffic - and stop near MacDonald's.
SABIHA GÖKÇEN AIRPORT
The airport is circa 50 km away from Little House. There are coaches (HAVATAS) that operate regularly between the airport and Taksim Square (1 minute walk from the hotel). Prices approx 9 euro per person one way and will take between 1 -2 hours depending on traffic and stop near MacDonald's.
From MacDonald's cross to the opposite side of Taksim Square. You will see the Big Rum Orthodox Church (Aya Triada) in front of you.
Or, look for the famous Taksim Tram at the beginning of Istiklal Street (Nr Burger King) and follow the lines until you come to Haci Baba Restaurant on your left - turn into this street and then turn into the second street on your right - from here you will see Little House sign.
