Historically, Sandymount House was an integral part of the De Vesci Estate, located 2km from the heritage town of Abbeyleix. This beautifully restored 1836 Georgian residence, Sandymount House, is set in mature, tranquil gardens with attractive lawns front and sides, resplendent with quality features such as a stream and a magnificent Monkey Puzzle tree.
This charming and elegant country house, boasts individually designed bedrooms (all ensuite) with king-sized orthopaedic beds, flat screens TVs, and hair drying facilities, which provides comfort for all our guests. All of our ensuites are fitted with heated towel rails and power showers and are finished with contemporary décor.
The dining room enjoys early morning sun, with views on to the garden and horse paddock, where our guests can relax and take pleasure in our freshly cooked Irish breakfasts. In the winter our guests can enjoy relaxing in front of an open log fire in the comfort of our guest lounging areas. Guests are assured of an enthusiastic and warm welcome from the owners Avril and Robin.
