The Silk Road

At Silk Road Hostel, we give our guests spacious dorm rooms with just four people per room. Each dorm room has beautiful views out across the Giudecca Canal. All rooms are well lit and ventilated and guests can enjoy a comfortable dinning room with free breakfast. Our bathrooms are modern, and all guests can enjoy the use of the kitchen.
With the congestion tourist can experience in a city with small winding streets, Silk Road Property is a welcome escape. Set on Fondamenta Delle Zattere, Silk Road property sits on a long and wide promenade, popular for evening walks, dinning, or grabbing a gelato and watching the sun set.
The structure has been completely restructured and provides wide spaces, large rooms, common areas , equipped kitchen for guests.

Directions

From Santa Lucia railway station, turn right out of station, walk along Fondamenta Santa Lucia until you reach the large modern bridge. Cross this bridge into Piazzale Roma Bus Station and turn left. Walk past Santa Chiara HoTel and turn right onto Fondamenta Cossetti. Continue straight down the street over a few small bridges until it bends to the right. After the corner, take the first bridge on your left (Ponte Rosso). Walk down Fondamenta Rossa until the end where you turn right over a bridge onto Fondamenta Briati. Cross the first bridge on your left (Ponte del Soccorso). Immediately off of the bridge turn right onto Fondamenta del Soccorso. Do not cross anymore bridges! Follow the street as it turns left and walk straight. You will pass Hotel San Sebastiano. You will walk into Campo de San Basegio. Cross through and out of the campo onto Calle del Vento. Turn left on Fondamenta delle Zattere and walk one minute. Silk Road Property entrance is on Calle Corteloto, the second door on the right.

From Santa Lucia Railway Station by waterbus (vaporetto). In front of the station take the ACTV ferry No. 2 in the direction of piazzale Roma / Zattere and exit at the stop for San Basilio. Continue on foot to the right for one minute. Entrance is on street off of Zattere.

From Piazzale Roma Bus Station by waterbus. In front of the station take the ACTV ferry No. 2 in the direction of Zattere and exit at the stop for San Basilio. Continue on foot for one minute.
