Villa Tanaro is situated in a panoramic and tranquil valley in the Italian Piedmont region, 3 kilometers from the town of Ormea and just 50 kilometers from the Mediterranean coast.

Open the garden gate and you are immediately strolling alongside the river Tanaro where fishing permits are sold.

Forget your car, we rent bikes -- the 20 km bike trail leading to Garessio starts just outside our door. Or take a short walk to the cheese and mushroom store at Ponte di Nava.

Grab your back pack and go climbing or explore the numerous places to gather mushrooms. Love the snow? Here we rent snow shoes and cross country skis and are two steps away from the nordic ski trail.

Directions

From the Italian Riviera - Autostrada A10 Imperia Est exit - Descend into city of Imperia,go right at the first roundabout - Strada Statale 28 direction Torino. Go 40 km After Ponte di Nava go 1 km to the intersection for Caprauna. This is Cantarana. At the intersection turn right and cross a small bridge. Villa Tanaro is visible on the right. Take the first right on a dirt road and buzz at the gate. 40 minutes. From Ceva - Autostrada A6: Take the Ceva exit and head towards Garessio/Imperia. After Ormea go 3km turn left at the intersection for Caprauna. Villa Tanaro is visible on the right.
