The large front porch adds to the charm and personality of the home and is great for a morning cup of coffee, social gatherings, reading the newspaper or favorite book.
Hardwood floors, original woodwork, and open stairways are reminiscent to the history of the Victorian home.
Guests are welcome to visit in the Breakfast Nook where there is a microwave, refrigerator and additional amenities.
If you are musically inclined, you may go downstairs and have a sing-along at the Player Piano or play the Grand Piano.
We have several different restaurants in the area rangng from American, Chinese, Mexican & Perusian Seafood - all family oriented. Denison has conference facilities which can hold up to 500 people, an indoor/ outdoor swimming facility, and a number of exercise facilities.
The Providence Inn has six rooms available, each decorated in a unique Victorian style. High speed wireless Internet is available with cable TV in every room.
Anna Louise's Room - $65 per night plus tax
Located at the top of the stairs, Anna's room features a Queen size Antique Sleigh Bed with matching dresser to take you back in time to simpler days. This is a bright airy room with 3 large windows with original wood floors and woodwork.
James Leo's Room - $65 per night plus tax
James room is also located at the top of the stairs, provides you with a cozy atmosphere featuring a Queen size bed and beautiful wood floors. Anna and James' rooms are adjoining rooms, each with their own bathroom facilities, but share a common shower
Ruth Ann's Room - $80 per night plus tax
Ruth Ann's room features a handcrafted Queen size Fastje Bed with matching dresser made in Denison, Iowa. This room has a spacious bath featuring the original claw foot bathtub to lose yourself in a time gone by era. The wood floors and Victorian chairs invite you to sit back and take it easy.
The Providence Inn Suite - $90 per night plus tax
Located in the addition added to the home is The Providence Inn Suite, which is a spacious room with a King size Four Post Bed with Canopy. This room features full length mirror doors on the closet and its own private bath. Sit back and relax in the large wing back chair and ottoman. This room can be used as a Bridal Suite or for the Romantics-at-Heart.
The Jesse Denison Room - $80 per night plus tax
Sit back and relax in this cozy room with a Queen size bed, antique dresser and antique wool floral area rug. The warm colors of the room make you feel very comfortable and at home. This room also has mirror doors on the closet and has its own private bath.
The Chestnut Suite - $90 per night plus tax
This room with its soothing green painted walls has a King size Four Post Bed. The wood floors, antique dresser, mirrored closet doors, nice private bath make for a serene atmosphere. There is plenty of room to sit back and relax.
Providence Inn is open year round. Please call or e-mail us for a reservation. You can also make a reservation online by visiting this link. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We also accept a check or cash in the amount of one nights' stay to hold your reservation. If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so 10 days prior to your arrival date. If cancellation is made less than 10 days prior to your arrival, you will be charged one nights stay.
Check-in is between 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. unless other arrangements have been made. Check-out is at 11:00 a.m.
Policies
All rooms are for either single or double occupancy. Rates are subject to change without notice. Families are welcome, but please call for availability. Smoking is permitted only outside. Due to fire regulations, no candles are permitted in the rooms. We do not accommodate pets and therefore other arrangements will need to be made.
When coming into Denison on Highway #30 go to 16th Street turn north and go 3 blocks to 1st Avenue South. Turn left and Providence Inn is the 4 house across from the school. It is a gray house with a large front porch.
