Lake Joy Campground is located in the driftless area of scenic southwest Wisconsin on the edge of our 60 acre private lake surrounded by nothing but nature itself! This region of Wisconsin was untouched by glaciers which covered much of the state. Therefore, rolling hills and remnants of ancient prairies await your arrival.
Rural but not remote, Lake Joy Campground is located conveniently to several tri-state metropolitan areas. We are 10 minutes from Platteville, Wisconsin; 30 minutes from Galena, Illinois; 35 minutes from Dubuque, Iowa; 50 minutes from Madison, Wisconsin; 2.5 hours from Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 3.5 hours from Chicago, Illinois and 5 hours from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

-Only State of Wisconsin certified firewood is allowed onto the campground -Campers must be 21 years of age to reserve a campsite -Parents or Guardians are responsible for their children's behavior and safety at all times. PLEASE NOTE: There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach areas. -The speed limit is 10 miles per hour through-out the campground -Only electric trolling motors are permitted on the lake -Dogs must be well behaved and on a leash at all times. No dogs are to be left unattended on a campsite in the absence of their owner. Campers, day pass visitors and guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pets are not allowed on the beaches or in swimming areas. (No pitbulls allowed) -Absolutely NO fireworks or firearms are permitted on the campground
