Obuse-no-Kaze Youth Hostel is located only a minute walk from the Hokusaikan Museum where the works of the worldclass, famous Edo period ukiyo-e artist Hokusai are displayed. About 10 minutes walk from Obuse Station, it is easy to access Zenkoji Temple, Snow Monkey Park and Shiga Kogen. Ideal as a base for touring northern Nagano.
You can use a laptop computer that has an internet access for free. We don't have an onsen but we offer free shuttle service to the nearby onsen facility. Obuse is known as a traditional center of chestnut production. Stroll the town and enjoy the chestnut confectionary and cuisine.
We have both Japanese and Western-style guest rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned.
We offer shampoo and soap for free but we charge for the followings: towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, and a razor.
There is a coin locker, safe box, vending machine, laundry facility and a parking lot(for 7 cars).
We offer 3 bicycles (100 yen per hour). Smoking is not permitted inside of the facility. Please smoke outside at the deck. Please do not bring in any alcohol drinks. We offer breakfast and dinner upon request.
