This casa invites you to share the local atmosphere that provides visitors with a rich cultural perspective of Ecuador. Located close to the main entertainment and tourist mecca, the Mariscal district, but yet provides a peaceful neighborhood for those who want a little peace of mind. Our house offers much in the way of making your experience in Quito, Ecuador a remarkable and impressive time with memories to share with newfound friends in this sociable environment.
In 1932, Tomas Mullo constructed a house on the yet undeveloped area of Quito. The design incorporated the influence of the post-Italian architecture of the neoclassic style with a fascinating twist of Ecuadorian elegance. In the 1940s, Tomas bestowed this house to his son Raphael Mullo who still maintains the Mullo patriarch and is still very much present and nearby for anyone who would like to share some stories of Quito Colonial.
The Municipio Metropolitano de Quito announced that the house is a historic building that cannot be changed from the original style, as most buildings face in Old Town Quito.
We are located in Mercadillo Oe 245 and Versalles street, near the Santa Clara de San Millan park in fron of Hotel Majestic, 1 block up, in mercadillo street from Hotel Casino La Circaciana, approximately a 10 minute walking distance to the Mariscal and a five minute trolley ride to the Centro. Our house is five blocks east of Amazonas Avenue and one block east from the main street 10 de Agosto.
The transportation to anywhere at anytime is very convenient. The two most important universities, Universidad Central and Universidad Catolica, are just a few blocks away along.
There are many mini-food stores in the neighborhood of national and imported products. There are hospitals, parks, bookstores, movies, post office and many Internet locations frequented by Ecuadorians. For the most part, the most important aspect of this neighborhood is that many Ecuadorian families live there, offering security and confidence to those who visit.
