The Apuano Hostel is situated in a Villa surrounded by a beautiful garden, just 10mt from the beach, an ideal place for a vacation. It offers the opportunity for trips in the hinterland, in splendid pine forests, to Carrara's marble caves (10km), Lucca (40km), Pisa (60km) and Firenze (120km) and it is very easy to reach the famous cinque terre.
Please note, if you are not a Member of Hostelling International there is an extra charge of € 3,00 per person per night. Once you have stayed 6 nights at a HI Hostel you become a HI member and no extra charges apply for future stays. For Italian non members the cost of the AIG membership card is 6,00euro and for groups 18,00 € ( the cards will last a whole year.
Directions
The nearest airport is Pisa 'Galileo Galilei' where you can take a train to CARRARA-AVENZA or MASSA CENTRO Station. from there you take bus 56 which it will take you directly to the hostel. Till june 2012 the bus will run only till 15.45 from CARRARA-AVENZA ST and till 16.15 from MASSA CENTRO ST.
