Description
The Marquesas, or Henua Enata meaning "Land of Men", are a group of 'high islands', known for their spire-like green peaks rising from the deep indigo Pacific Ocean . Just 1500 km from Tahiti, this majestic and historic island is known for its wild, untamed landscape, giant stone tiki, endless and unearthly vistas, and as the final resting place of poet Jacques Brel and artist Paul Gauguin .
The 14 bungalows are perched hillside and nestled among luxuriant vegetation . Each bungalow has an individual touch of one of twenty local artists and sculptors . All bungalows feature an outdoor terrace, air conditioning, television, video, IDD telephone, hair dryer, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities and an in-room safe .
