Hotel Ideale

For us hospitality is an age-old value, a precious tradition we have protected for many years and which has aroused the interest of many leading guidebooks.

You can use the bar open 24 hours a day, relax in the entertainment room where you can read or watch TV and in summer enjoy breakfast in our pleasant interior garden. If you are in town for business, we have a conference room which seats 20 and can equipped as you need.

If you are in town for pleasure, you can bring your cat or dog along, we welcome all pets. To make your stay more comfortable, if you come to Milan by car, our garage and guarded parking lot are available free of charge so even your car can relax!

For Culture, we're just a few minutes from Università Statale, which is located in an old 15th century hospital (the facade on Via Perdono is worth seeing) and the Duomo is not to be missed. It is one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world and symbol of the city and has spectacular arches and play of spires and buttresses. From here head to nearby Teatro alla Scala, the temple of opera and classical music, famous throughout the world. You can also visit Teatro Ciak in the vicinity of the hotel (50 meters).

And then a trip to Brera, one of the most elegant quarters of the city and with its Pinacoteca Nazionale, which is home to numerous masterpieces of Italian art: including Raphael's Marriage of the Virgin, Mantegna's Dead Christ, Piero della Francesca's Montefeltro Altarpiece and many others. A couple of metro stops will take you to Castello Sforzesco, the medieval castle of the Visconti and Sforza families. Don't forget to make reservations to visit the wonderful Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci in the Refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie.

Directions

By car:
From the freeways: whether you arrive from the A1 Milano - Napoli (Autostrada del Sole), A4 Torino - Trieste or A8 Milano - Varese (Milano Laghi), go through the toll booth and continue towards the center (centro) and take the Tangenziale Est. Take exit no. 6 "Forlanini", turn right on Viale Enrico Forlanini and continue for 800 meters. Then take Viale Corsica for 1.1 km and next Corso XXII Marzo for 500 meters. Turn right into Piazza Emilia, after 50 meters continue on Viale Piceno for 600 meters. Viale dei Mille starts after 300 meters, drive down it for another 300 meters to reach Hotel Ideale.

By train
From Centrale station take bus 92 and get off at the Dei Mille - Modena stop. We are 100 meters away. Or take the number 60 for eight stops. Get off at Castel Morrone - Modena. Hotel Ideale is 200 meters away. With tram number 5 get off in Piazza Ascoli, from there it is 300 meters on foot.
If you prefer the metro, take the Yellow line towards San Donato, change at the first stop "Repubblica". From here take the Ferrovie Nord train for Bovisa and get off at the second stop "Dateo". The hotel is 300 meters from Piazzale Dateo.

By plane
From Milan's Linate Airport, take bus no. 73 and get off at Corso XXII Marzo. From there take bus no. 92 and get off at the Dei Mille - Modena stop. We are 100 meters away.
From Milan's Malpensa airport take the Shuttle for Stazione Centrale (train station). From there take bus no. 92 and get off at the Dei Mille - Modena stop. We are 100 meters away.
From Milan's Orio al Serio Airport (Bergamo), take the bus for Lambrate station. Then take bus no. 54 and get off at the Corso Plebisciti stop at the corner of Piazzale Dateo. We are 300 meters away.

On foot from the center of Milan
You can reach the Hotel with buses 54, 60, 61 and 62. From Porta Garibaldi and Porta Venezia take the Ferrovie Nord and get off at the Dateo stop.
