"As Sicily's largest and most cosmopolitan city, Palermo offers great dining as well as excellent shopping. Though there are good restaurants throughout Palermo, they're not easy to find. In general, we suggest that you try the ones on side streets instead of those near the port (on Via Amari and Via Cavour), which might be described as "tourist restaurants." (A number of Palermitan restaurants and wine bars are listed and reviewed on our special page dedicated to Palermo's Best Restaurants.)Throughout Palermo, there are sample these tempting delights in a leisurely setting, i suggest the charming outdoor cafés on Via Principe di Belmonte which runs from Via Maqueda to Via Roma near the Politeama Theatre. Located in the city's best shopping district, Via principe di Belmonte is closed to traffic, making it Palermo's answer to Rome's Piazza di Spagna or Via Condotti. The city doesn't only offer great cuisine and fascinating history. All restored,the apartment is on the third floor of a six-story building which has a doorman and an elevator,reached by climbing six steps from the entrance.
The comfortable interiors include antiques,a modern kitchen and the charming wooden bookshelves surrounding the spacious living room with rare books,some of which are in English.
Both the living room and the dedrooms are air conditioned.Winter heating is included in the price and the use of a cell phone is provided.
The apartmet has a free fast internet connection included ........a notebook is provided if required.

I really enjoyed staying at the apartment during my holidays in Palermo. The location is superb. It offers easy access to the historical center (walking distance to all sights) but at the same time it is situated in a green quiet area full of cafes and restaurants. I particularly appreciated the fact that it is located right near the bus stop from which it takes only 10-15 minutes to the beach of Mondello. In addition, all the main shopping areas – via Roma, via della Liberta, etc. – are only steps away.Internally the flat is in immaculate condition, beautifully decorated with antiques and has a lovely homely feel. I found everything I needed during my stay and having a massive collection of interesting books was a bonus. I would also like to point out the neighbors and the owners of the flat are very nice and friendly and were able to help me with various requests on many occasions. I would gladly recommend the flat for stay in Palermo.
