High Holborn offers great value private rooms in an amazing central London location. The building is literally a stones throw from some of the most famous shops, museums, theatres and landmarks in London. Single and twin rooms are available giving you a little more privacy than a bed in a shared dominatory.
Covent Garden and Oxford street are within two minutes walk and one of the famous West End theatres is just across the road. High Holborn is the ideal base from which to explore London.
The rooms are laid out in clusters with about six rooms sharing a toilet, shower and kitchen. Prices include an excellent continental breakfast, linen, towels and housekeeping.
High Holborn has all you need for a great stay in London. The guest kitchens are fully equipped for self-catering which can be a great way to save costs in London. There is a bar area complete with pool tables, fussball, wide screen TV and air hockey ideal for winding down in the evening. There is also a coin-opperated laundry. Pay-as-you-go internet terminals are available in reception and the communal areas are also covered by BT Openzone WiFi (subscription required). Internet access is not yet available in the bedrooms we are working on it though!
High Holborn has a friendly reception desk open 8am to 9pm, offering advice on local attractions, transport etc. Outside of these times security staff are present. You can check-in to your room from 3pm and should check-out by 10.30am. If you are in London before or after these times we will happily store your luggage, free of charge. We have 24 hour access by security card and no curfew.
The combination of quality rooms and spectacular location make High Holborn hard to beat!
LSE High Holborn is a student residence owned and operated by the London School of Economics and Political Science. It is available to the general public on a nightly, bed and breakfast basis, during the summer vacation. All profits go towards supporting and subsidising student accommodation.

High Holborn is excellently located for exploring London with several underground stations and bus routes near by.
The residence is in Theatreland, with Covent Garden and Oxford Street just two minutes away. Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and the British Museum are all within 5 minutes walk!
FROM AIRPORTS;
Heathrow: easily accessible by the underground. Take the Piccadilly line straight to Holborn Station.
Gatwick: Take the train or coach service to Victoria and then catch bus 38 to High Holborn.
Stansted: Take the coach to Victoria and then the 38 to High Holborn OR take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street and then the central line to Holborn Station.
FROM RAILWAY STATIONS & EUROSTAR;
Kings Cross / St. Pancras International (Eurostar): Take the Piccadilly line to Holborn. (10 minutes in total).
Paddington: Take the westbound Circle or District line to Notting Hill Gate where you change for the eastbound Central line to Holborn.
Waterloo: Take the northbound Northern line to Tottenham Court Road and then change for the eastbound Central line to Holborn.
FROM NEARBY UNDERGROUND STATIONS;
Holborn - come out of the station's main exit, cross Kingsway, walk past Sainsbury's, we are 100 metres further along the road on the left hand side.
BUSSES Several buses pass the front door of High Holborn. Useful routes include From Victoria: 8, 38 From Waterloo: 1 From Fenchurch Street: 25
TAXIS London boasts an excellent Black Cab service. Rates are reasonable and cabs are very safe. There are taxi ranks at major stations, airports and within the West End.
