Set on the shores of Cayuga Lake amidst a tiny heritage village in the heart of the Finger Lakes, the Aurora Inn has a pedigree dating back to 1833. The village of Aurora, just north of Ithaca and west of Syracuse, is home to Wells College and the MacKenzie-Childs furniture factory and restaurant. The surrounding region offers a wealth of natural beauty, history and other diversions.
Now impeccably renovated with understated elegance, the Inn has 10 exquisite guest rooms, with comfortable furnishings, designer fabrics, private marble bathrooms, up-to-the-minute creature comforts and options such as fireplaces, balconies with rocking chairs and swings, whirlpools and more.
Lake- and village-view rooms offer queen-size beds, large windows, sitting areas, balconies. Some with fireplaces. King suite offers lovely lake views, a king-size bed, a separate sitting room and in-room kitchenette with wet bar, and a deep-soak whirlpool tub with skylights overhead. With a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, the Double Suite has two double beds, with half-moon window to north, otherwise like King Suite. All rooms have elegant, private marble bathrooms, individual temperature controls, telephones, flat-panel TVs with DVD/VCR player, radio/CD player, and high-speed internet access.
Lakeside restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner- 7days/week. Bar open 12-9 pm every day. Banquet room is the perfect setting for weddings, special celebrations, business meetings; accommodates 90 indoors for dinner, with ability to extend the space outdoors. Lawn weddings up to 200.
