Gunflint is located in the Laurentian Highlands of northeastern Minnesota, a heavily forested region with a large number of deep clear water lakes. This area adjacent to the Boundary Waters Wilderness is home to moose, timber wolves, deer, beaver, eagles and many unusual bird species indigenous to a boreal forest.
Lake side cabins all have living rooms with a rock fireplace, one to four bedrooms (all with private bath), full kitchen, sauna and either a hot tub or a whirlpool tub. The cabins are all decorated with northwoods collectables and are finished in pine panelling.
Full service dining room with gourmet dinners, fishing for walleye, lake trout and bass, sauna in each cabin, hiking trails, horseback riding, canoeing, boating, kayaks, mt. biking, cross country skiing, dog sledding and snowshoeing, conference center, computer and internet connections.
