Excellent town centre hostel, 2 minutes from station and next to bus stop. Good quality and value bunk accom. at centre of Braveheart country. Very sociable atmosphere.
Beautiful countryside, with the hills rising up to the north, Stirling has been described as the gateway to the highlands. Stirling castle and many other historic buildings including the Wallace Monument (bus at door - 10 mins or so) hill walking, golf , fishing , riding , biking -an essential place to visit for tourists interested in Scotland's history and an ideal base from which to explore. Scotland's first National Park at Loch Lomond and the Trossachs is nearby. Edinburgh and Glasgow each 1/2 hour away.
Ground floor entrance, with bike storage, six dorms on three floors sleeping 4 - 16 each plus one double and one twin room. Toilets and showers on each floor. Large welcoming common room and well-equipped self-catering kitchen. Reception area has pay phone. All newly and attractively decorated.
Lots of pubs and night clubs nearby . An internet cafe across the road (special deals avialable)and the train station 2 minutes walk down the road and a bus stop on the doorstep with a pizzaria on the corner of the street among other handy places to eat. Stirling University has conference facilities and theatre etc. Bowling, swimming, shopping, halls to rent. Art gallery and all the facilities of a thriving university town.
