A gracious Georgian country house located near Concord & Lexington, built in 1775 for Timothy Jones. Experience a sense of New England history and hospitality in one of four rooms furnished with antiques, hand-made quilts & original pine floors.
Just a short walk outside our door is an ancient path that takes your to the Great Meadows Wildlife Refuge and on to Concord Bridge. This beautiful walk takes you to the historic North Bridge in Concord, sight of the "shot heard around the world" beginning of the Revolutionary War. The Minuteman Bike Path will take you to sites in Lexington and Cambridge. A commune with nature at Walden Pond is only a short drive from our door.
We offer amenities for tourists and business travellers alike and are located 1 mile from Concord, 3 miles from Lexington and 15 miles from Boston and Logan Airport.
Our home is furnished with ornamental fireplaces, beehive oven fireplace in the kitchen, family antiques, hand-made quilts, and original wide-pine flooring.
Breakfast is served in a sunny dining room with your choice of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, fresh fruit and may include yogurt, cereal, Muesli, scones, home baked bread, waffles or french toast served with New England maple syrup.
We have two rooms with a private bath and phone lines or two suites with a shared bath. The Shaker Room is furnished with a queen-size pencil post bed crated by a New Hampshire artisan, has 17th century pine chests, handmade quilts and braided rugs. The Rose Room has a four posted full-size bed, Georgian bureau, wide pine floor and lace curtains. Heather's Garden is bright and sunny with a full-size bed and 1930's Pennsylvania Dutch furnishings. The Green Apple Rooms has soothing apple green woodwork, Victorian twin beds, a pine bureau and looks out over the old apple orchard.
