LOST WORLD ADVENTURES arranges specialized tours and expeditions in South America and Central America. Our company was founded in 1986, when we pioneered our first adventure trips into Venezuela. We now arrange travel throughout Latin America.
After breakfast, you'll have a full day to visit the Valdes Peninsula. Along the way you will stop to see the exotic wildlife of the area: guanacos, lesser rheas, Patagonian foxes, hairy armadillos, maras and elegant-crested tinamous. Then you'll stop at the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus, gateway to the Peninsula, where a small museum will introduce you to the fauna of the region. Continue across the flat Patagonian countryside to Caleta Valdes, where you'll witness at close quarters the only mainland colony of huge sea elephants. You'll visit the most important rookeries, which protect large colonies of South American sea lions and southern elephant seals. Magellanic penguins inhabit this area, along with oyster catchers, dolphin gulls, kelp gulls, cormorants and other sea birds. Next you continue to Puerto Piramide, where you'll witness a huge colony of fur seals. Return to San Guillermo for dinner and overnight.
Savor the rugged splendor of Argentina’s Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. Visit a colony of 500,000 penguins in addition to viewing whales and sea elephants of the Valdes Peninsula. Navigate the Beagle Channel and stand in awe before massive glaciers. Our 10-day natural history tour combines this remote region’s most interesting sites. With lodging in comfortable hotels, Argentina is ready to welcome you on an unforgettable Lost World Adventure.
