Harpers Ferry is located at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. Surrounded by mountains, valleys, and rivers this historic village takes you back in time.
The B&B is a Victorian home over a century old. Complete with a wrap around porch, where a porch swing and set of rocking chairs the porch is always a gathering place for guests to relax in the afternoons with refreshments and homemade cookies. When the weather turns too cold for socializing on the porch, guests enjoy the parlor complete with piano for resting and relaxing.
The B&B is decorated in the Victorian style, but with a modest flair towards fishing. Our guests often comment that our decorations are tasteful, authentic and make them feel comfortable.
All of our guest rooms are spacious with private baths and also private sitting rooms. Each room has unique features and the sitting rooms are also interesting in their own right. Our baths have been restored to the Victorian period with claw foot tubs, and some with pull chain water closets.
We offer professionally guided fishing trips on the Potomac River from April to November.
Depending on the season and water level, you will be escorted down the river in a Victorian style McKenzie Drift boat. These luxurious wooden boats are handmade by the owner and head guide, Bryan Kelly. Both offer wonderful opportunites for catching Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Catfish and occassionally a Tiger Muskie. Gear and Lunch are provided.
You do not have to take a fishing trip if you stay at the B&B, and likewise, you may go fishing with us and not have to stay at the inn. We offer some packages for both staying and fishing, if you choose to do both.
